PRE-FORMED CAGES

The Hatziandreou Steels is the only company supplying steel for construction purposes in Northern Greece. It produces and supplies material in the forms of Pre-formed Cage walls, Beams and pillars. The cages are generated automatically by state of the art programmable robotic equipment. The lack of need for specific topology configuration on the way (as in spiral connectors) offers unparalleled freedom in shaping the armouring, beating all other methods. The preformed cages literally "solve the hands" of engineers who have specific requirements in Figure and the strength of the pillars for their projects.

Besides, our preformed cages pose a varietyof further advantages summarized as follows:

• Speed: The ability of armour delivery to the ready column dramatically reduces construction time and ensures the absence of errors and poor workmanship during installation. Also we are proud of our expert staff and high quality machinery ensuring fast delivery times preformed cages.
• Savings: The pre-cages are lighter compared with common fasteners (due to the total absence of remnants and the lack of many common points in complex columns and beams) and mesh forms (mainly due to standardization dimensions and their inability to thickening and thinning). Equally important is the reduction by 50% of the consumption of No7 wire when columns and beams are preformed.
• Quality: Using the preformed cage, is in accordance with the Regulations of the Greek Earthquake Requirements (EAK) and the Greek Concrete Reinforcing Rules (E.K.O.S.) as the formation of cages is superior to welding. As an additional element of quality there is an anchor in both the beginning and at end of each connector
• Flexibility: With the use of cages as a connector, there is no restriction in the shape, size and length. In contrast to the usage of the mesh columns and common fasteners (hoop).
